There has been so many problems with memory sticks but we hope after buying a new memory stick we'll be able to have rough cuts and other clips onto youtube by late tomorrow evening, finallyy!

Facebook.

We plan to put our latest rough cut onto facebook to get more audience feedback although us not being able to upload our videos onto youtube is a massive hurdle with us waiting up to 2 hours for one upload and then it telling us it isnt working is getting very frustrating so we will try on other computers that are available hopefully they'll be up as soon as possible.

Review of AF

After showing our second rough cut to our class and getting audience feedback we have taken everyones opinion and have some changes to make. It is clear that some of the shots involving George in the cutting room are not clear to the audience and they don't fit in with the story. We will have to discuss this and see how we can change this to either make it clearer or we may have to change this and re-shoot which we do not want to do because we do not know when we will be able to shoot more in the salon due to their busy schedule.

Another point we noticed from our AF is that the ending went down very well but we have decided to take out the final shot of the empty chair as it didnt seem to make sense and wasnt really needed because the ending seemed more effective without it.

Editing decissions

We have spent the whole of today and yesterday editing our opening that we refilmed on tuesday after school. We have changed quite alot from our origional idea while we were shooting because we felt like we could improve what our origional idea was because there were materials on site that we could use that we didnt know we'd be able to do for example we decided to have George (customer 2) to be rooting through the draws in the upstairs of the salon while Colette (victim) is having her appointments, we decided to this because we wanted to make Georges character seem more mysterious and to show that he is quite a starnge character and maybe capable of the things Katie (the killer) will do to Colette also when we eventually do find out that Katie is the killer at the end it makes the audience wonder whats going to happen next as both characters appear to be capable of these things. We also decided to re-shoot our outside shots of George approaching the salon because we found it was too dark and it would be weird and a bit unrealistic if the salon was open at night. We decided to add in Katie cutting a letter open and slamming the scissors down in a pot to show her capabilities and signify violence of what is maybe to come later on in the opening. We had George pull out a notebook he found in Katies draw saying 'the good, the bad' that links in with the storyline.

Shooting

we re shot our opening lastnight althugh all the cast wernt present we managed to get through it without her and we intrviewed the cast and us the group so that will be up on this blog soon.

Reshooting schedual

We are reshooting our opening tomorrow straight from school and editing up until friday the dealine. All of our actors are available this time as unfortunatly two of them were ill over last weekend so we have been put back even futher. We are hoping the weather wont be terrible as itll affect our shooting and shot variation outside the salon within the first few shots. I have also spoken to the owner who says we can use it until pretty much whatever time we want so that will help us to get plenty of coverage making it easier to put it together at the end.

Re-shoot

We are going to be reshooting the opening and the first thirty seconds of our production today outside the Beauticians when George (customer) will approach the salon. The weather conditions are dark and it has been raining on and off all morning so this may be a problem when we shoot. We are alos going to record the church bells to provide further anchorage of the time the film is set in the day.
